The monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly may be delayed this time. This session is expected to be called in the first or second week of September. The last monsoon session was held on August 10, 11, 12 and 13. This time it may slide till next month after Himachal Pradesh is hit by natural calamity.
It has been suggested by the State Assembly Secretariat to hold this session in the last week of August or the first week of September. The government, which is involved in dealing with the disaster caused by heavy rains and floods in the state, does not want to organize this session in a hurry. This session of monsoon can be of four or five days only.
