JUIT organised an evening masquerade event on 22nd April 2023 between 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Basket Ball Court. First, in the history of JUIT, the event aimed at making JUITians feel the wider presence of the Rotaract Club of Waknaghat in the university and create a strong impact among them at the same time. Besides, the event also gave a reason to dress up and put the best forward for the university folks.
Heart-throbbing music, well-dressed audiences, ice creams to cool off the summer heat and flashy decorations provided a beautiful ambience to the venue. At the close of the event, the titles of ‘Masquerade King’, ‘Masquerade Queen’ and ‘Masquerade Duo’ of the evening got crowned. The titles were given based on the questionnaire held in front of a jam-packed audience on the BBC. The questionnaire asked the contenders to express their views on various social constructs such as feminism. The event ended with the winners walking the ramp, followed by the state’s traditional Nati dance.
