Solan
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Jaypee University of Information Technology Waknaghat, Solan and Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh on 09-03-2024. The event was organized in JUIT campus in the presence of dignitaries which includes Prof Rajendra Kumar Sharma (Vice Chancellor, JUIT), Maj Gen Rakesh Bassi (Retd.) Registrar and Dean of Students, Prof Ashok Kumar Gupta, Dean (Academics & Research), Prof Shruti Jain, Associate Dean (Innovation), Head of ECE department along with his all faculty members and Head of the CSE/IT department. Prof H S Jattana, Administrator of Biomedical Instruments and Devices Hub PGIMER, Chandigarh joined this event. The MoU was coordinated by the ECE department of JUIT. Prof Rajendra Kumar Sharma, VC, JUIT thanked Prof Jattana for initiating this MoU and he stressed that the academic and research activities of both the institutions particularly in the areas of indigenous development of healthcare technologies (such as devices, instruments, equipment etc.) to address healthcare problems in India will be benefitted through this MoU. Both Prof Sharma and Prof Jattana motivated the faculty members of ECE department to write joint project proposal for funding in various bodies such as ICMR/DST/DBT. Finally, the event was concluded with vote of thanks to everyone by Prof Sharma.
