75th Republic Day will also be celebrated with enthusiasm in Hamirpur district on 26th January. The district administration has started preparations for this. Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa held a meeting with officials of various departments at Hamir Bhawan here on Friday and issued necessary guidelines regarding preparations for the district level Republic Day celebrations.
He said that the district level function will be organized in the grounds of Government Senior Secondary School (Children’s), Hamirpur. In this ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri will hoist the national flag and take the salute of the grand parade.
Apart from Himachal Pradesh Police, contingents of Home Guard, NCC, NSS and Scouts and Guides will also participate in this grand parade. The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of Police, Home Guard, NCC and Education Department to select the platoons for the Republic Day Parade and ensure their participation in the rehearsal starting from the scheduled date.
He asked the officials of the Public Works Department, Jal Shakti Department and the local Municipal Council to complete the arrangements related to repair of the venue, construction of the stage and cleaning etc. on time. Make alternative arrangements to organize the function even in case of bad weather.
The Deputy Commissioner said that cultural programs based on patriotism will also be presented in the function. He directed the officials of Education Department, Language, Art and Culture Department and Information and Public Relations Department to ensure participation of students of educational institutions in these programs and these presentations should be of high standard.
In the meeting, other arrangements related to the Republic Day celebrations were also extensively discussed. On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner Pawan Kumar Sharma presented detailed details of various arrangements. SDM Manish Kumar Soni, DSP Rohin Dogra and Sunil Dutt Thakur, Home Guard Commandant Sushil Kumar and other officers also participated in the meeting.
