A man of Bihari origin has been murdered in Bahli panchayat of Rampur block in Shimla district. Police have arrested four persons in the case. The incident occurred late on Friday night. The case came to light on Saturday.
According to the information, the case was first registered with the police that four youths vandalized a liquor vend in Bahli Panchayat. The contractor lodged a complaint with the police. However, a few hours later, the police received information that a man’s body had been found near the Bahli. The villagers informed police. When the police investigated, they found that the youths who first broke the contract had a fight with the migrant worker. It is now a matter of investigation whether the migrant died at the same time or later.
Sources said that the youths first fired in the air outside the contract. A migrant labourer was also present there. Following this, the youth got into an argument with the migrant worker. This is not the first incident of violence in the area. It has happened many times before here. Since the police station is 40 km away, the law and order situation is not good here. This is the reason why the spirits of miscreants and other hoodlums are high here. This is not the first case of murder of a migrant worker in Narain Bahli area. Earlier, a youth of Nepali origin was murdered in Dalog village under Narain panchayat. Now this is the second murder of a migrant worker in the area. This has caused a stir in the area. Police have arrested four persons in the case.
