Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN inaugurated ‘Drishti Conclave 2022’ for the executives of SJVN at Royal Tulip, Kufri, Shimla.
Chief Guest of the occasion, Nand Lal Sharma while addressing the august gathering, said that DRISHTI Program has been conceptualized to percolate Shared Vision among all the employees and to synergize their efforts to achieve this vision. The program also aims to prepare the manpower for future challenges and opportunities while taking the company to newer heights of success.
“Drishti Conclave is the culmination of the learnings of 29 such training programs organized in-house for 1012 employees. These training programs provided a platform to the employees to collectively brainstorm, assess and identify new challenges & opportunities that might be faced in achieving Shared Vision. This has helped in enhancing the level of competency, team spirit and group cohesiveness amongst the employees.” said Sh. Sharma.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma further stated that SJVN is cruising ahead strengthened by strenuous efforts and commitment of SJVNites. Currently SJVN has a diversified portfolio of around 42000 MW and is developing 70 projects pan India & abroad.
One of the highlights of the Conclave was the Motivational session by Sh. Chetan Bhagat, renowned author and motivational speaker. Author of thirteen blockbuster books, Sh. Chetan Bhagat is the inspiration to millions around the world. The New York Times has called him ‘Biggest selling English language novelist in India’s history’ and Time magazine has named him amongst ‘100 most influential people in the world.’
During the Conclave six teams of employees from different offices of SJVN made presentation on various topics such as SJVN 2040 & Beyond, The Internet of Things in Power Sector, Future of Non-Conventional Source of Energy, Corporate Strategy of SJVN, Green Hydrogen Policy and Artificial intelligence in Power Sector.
On this occasion, Director (Personnel) Smt. Geeta Kapur, Director (Finance) Sh A.K Singh, faculty for DRISHTI training programs Sh. Shekhar Gupta (Retd. IAS), Sh. Romesh Kapoor (Ex ED SJVN), Sh. Anil Gupta (Ex CGM SJVN) and Sh. Kranti Gupta (Ex GM SJVN) and senior officials of SJVN were also present.
