BJP State Media Convener Karn Nanda said that Jagat Prakash Nadda’s two consecutive terms (2020–2026) as National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party will be remembered for organizational strengthening, electoral successes, and service-oriented politics. Under his leadership, the BJP not only consolidated its traditional base but also achieved historic victories in new regions, further cementing its position as the country’s strongest political party.
Karn Nanda stated that during Nadda’s tenure, the BJP contested nearly 33 Assembly elections and won 19 of them, achieving an impressive strike rate of around 60 percent. He highlighted the party’s return to power for a second consecutive term in states such as Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur, as well as the record-breaking victory of 156 seats in the 2022 Gujarat Assembly elections, as a reflection of Nadda’s decisive leadership. The BJP also delivered notable performances in local body elections, including the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and the Jammu and Kashmir District Development Council polls.
On the organizational front, Nanda said that Nadda ensured BJP remained the world’s largest political party. More than 180 million members were added during his tenure, while the booth empowerment campaign significantly strengthened the party’s grassroots structure. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the ‘Seva Hi Sangathan’ mission emerged as a global example of humanitarian service, under which more than 220 million food kits and over 50 million ration kits were distributed across the country.
Karn Nanda further said that Jagat Prakash Nadda’s contribution as Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare has also been historic. Landmark initiatives such as Ayushman Bharat, the world’s largest health insurance scheme, unprecedented expansion of AIIMS, digitization of vaccination through the U-WIN portal, record increases in medical colleges and MBBS seats, introduction of drone services in remote areas, and concrete steps toward TB eradication stand as testimony to his visionary leadership.
He added that Nadda’s contribution to Himachal Pradesh has been equally significant. Mega projects such as the Bulk Drug Park and Medical Device Park in Una have given the state a new identity in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
Karn Nanda said that Jagat Prakash Nadda’s two terms symbolize not merely a tenure of office, but a firm commitment to organization-building, service, and good governance. His leadership, he added, will continue to guide and inspire future generations of the BJP.
