The Indira Gandhi Sports Council organized a table tennis competition. The results of the competition for boys and girls below 11 years of age were declared, in which Dwitiya came first among boys, Agamveer came second, and Prithvisha and Akshansh came third.
In the girls below 11 years, Naisha came first, Anyaya came second and Priyanshi and Kiara came third. This information was given by Table Tennis Committee Secretary Abhay Lakhanpal.
The competition was inaugurated by Anurag Verma, Parshuram Award winner; District Sports Officer Satish; Director of the Indira Gandhi Sports Council; and famous volleyball player Secretary Adish Rana, Yashpal Rana, Jaswant Gangta, Alkesh Saini, Somnath Pramanik and Sudeep Mahajan were present.
The games for those below 13 years of age are still being played, and the results will be declared tomorrow.
Anurag Sharma said that sports is an important part of life and every youth should make sports a part of their daily routine. We welcome more than 300 delegates in this competition. The young players have shown their sports vision with table tennis the whole day. In the coming time, similar competitions will be organized in various districts of Himachal Pradesh, in which the youth will participate enthusiastically.
