Shimla, BJP State General Secretary Sanjeev Katwal said that the Namo Marathon is being organized as part of the Seva Pakhwada being celebrated on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on Sunday, September 21, 2025. The marathon will begin at the Ridge Maidan and conclude at the Chaura Maidan. The marathon will be flagged off by BJP Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur and the event’s chief guest, popular singer Mohit Chauhan.
He told that the main points of the program will be like this, the gathering time of the marathon will be at 6:30 am, online registration is going on since last one week and in view of the online registration, BJP and Yuva Morcha will organize a program of distributing T-shirts, at 7:00 am Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the people who have come for the marathon through online medium and will fill enthusiasm in the youth, after this at 7:30 am Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur and Chief Guest Mohit Chauhan will flag off the marathon.
He stated that the marathon will conclude at Chaura Maidan, Shimla, a distance of approximately 3 kilometers. The winners will also be honored by the party at Chaura Maidan, Shimla.
Katwal said that the Namo Marathon is being organized across the country, with the Yuva Morcha playing a leading role. This race is being organized on the theme of a drug-free India and a self-reliant India. Everyone’s contribution is essential to building a self-reliant India. When we talk about Swadeshi, it should be kept in mind that today we are developing fighter jets, combat planes, and missile systems like the BrahMos, which are being discussed worldwide. These have been developed not by following anyone’s example, but with a completely indigenous approach.
