Nagar Official Language Implementation Committee, Shimla (Office-2), constituted under the chairmanship of Bhupendra Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN, was honored with the ‘NARAKAS Protsahan Samman’ – 2024-25 Excellence Award today by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. This award was given on the occasion of Hindi Diwas-2025 and the Fifth All India Official Language Conference organized at the national level.
On this occasion, Shri Bhupendra Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN said that this award has been given to the members of Nagar Official Language Implementation Committee, Shimla (Office-2) for the best performance of Official Language Policy in Central Government Offices, Undertakings, and Banks. He said that the Nagar Rajbhasha Implementation Committee, Shimla (Office-2) will continue to work together with everyone for more use of official language in its member offices.
On this occasion, Shri Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN informed that this award has been established for Nagar Rajbhasha Implementation Committees formed all over India to appreciate the use and spread of the official language, Hindi. Under this, the entries received by NARAKAS formed all over India have been evaluated, keeping in mind all aspects related to excellent performance in the field of official language policy.
This award was received by Shri Ashish Pant, General Manager (Official Language), SJVN-cum-Member-Secretary, Nagar Rajbhasha Implementation Committee, Shimla (Office-2) from the hands of Mrs. Anshul Arya, Secretary, Official Language Department, Home Ministry, and other dignitaries for excellent performance of official language policy during a function organized at Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat.
‘‘Nagar Rajbhasha Implementation Committee” It is an official committee constituted to monitor and promote the progress and implementation of official language Hindi in various offices of the Government of India, public sector undertakings, banks etc. This committee works exclusively at the city or regional level, which is headed by the senior-most Central Government officer of that city. The Chairman of NARAKAS (Office-2) located in Shimla is the Chairman and Managing Director of SJVN Limited.
