National Lok Adalat will be organized on September 09, 2023 in the entire state as well as in the District and Sessions Court located in Solan, Kandaghat, Arki, Kasauli and Nalagarh Court premises. This information was given by Akanksha Dogra, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Solan.
Akanksha Dogra said that various cases in Lok Adalat will be settled on the basis of agreement. He said that criminal compoundable offences, check bounce cases, vehicle challans, money recovery cases etc. will be heard and settled in Lok Adalat.
He said that cases related to road accident compensation, labor disputes, electricity and water bills, matrimonial disputes, land acquisition, salary and allowances and retirement will be heard and settled in Lok Adalat. He said that such cases will also be settled in Lok Adalat which have not yet been filed in the court.
Akanksha Dogra said that time and money are saved in Lok Adalat. He said that there is no court fee in Lok Adalat and the court fee of the old case is refunded. Neither party is punished.
He said that a person willing to settle the cases in Lok Adalat can apply on plain paper in the District Legal Services Authority office of Solan and all the courts of the district before September 09, 2023. Application can also be made in the court in which the case is pending.
