The Yogananda School of AI, Computer, and Data Science, Department of Mathematics at Shoolini University, celebrated National Mathematics Day.
It was celebrated to commemorate the birthday of renowned mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan December 22, a webinar on the “Scope of Mathematics” was conducted.
The virtual event aimed to explore the infinite possibilities of mathematics while gaining inspiration from Ramanujan’s enduring impact. The webinar started with insights of Srinivasa Ramanujan that continue to inspire generations of mathematicians.
Chancellor, Prof. Prem Kumar Khosla, delivered a keynote speech on the impact of mathematical research and its implications for academic excellence.
The guest speaker of the webinar was Dr. Pawan Kumar Sharma, an associate professor with over 29 years of experience from the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur. Dr. Sharma’s expertise in elasticity, thermoelasticity, and numerical methods highlighted his significant contributions to the field of mathematics.
The webinar also featured a quiz, adding an interactive element to the event. Winners of the quiz, Ananya Parmor and Adarsh Doadwal, along with runners Soumya Sharma and Ridhima Gupta, were acknowledged for their commendable participation.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Neeraj Gandotra, an academician with 14 years of teaching experience and expertise in fuzzy information measurement and image processing. Dr. Gandotra expressed gratitude to all participants, speakers, and organizers for contributing to the success of the insightful webinar.
