To preserve the past, protect the future, and keep up the Earth’s enduring legacy, a Navjeevan Youth Organization of Mayana village in Dhundan organized a tree plantation drive near the newly built shamshan ghat and nearby areas.
Under this drive, 150 different plant species were planted. Among these were gulmohar, amaltas, neem, royal palm, morpankhi, sheesham, harshringar, cassia mamea, cassia glauca, sukhchain, and drumstick (moringa).
Devi Dutt Sharma, a senior citizen of the Navjeevan youth organization in Mayana, said, “Ongoing deforestation has made the issue of global warming worse. According to him, this has caused Himachal Pradesh to experience exceptional floods overall. In Mayana village, we have planted around 150 plant seedlings of different varieties. In an effort to protect the ecology, he has also urged people to plant more trees”.
Yogendra Gautam, president of the Navjeevan youth organization in Mayana, said, “We’ve been planning these kinds of initiatives for a while now. He expressed gratitude to BO Ashok Kumar for supplying the plants”.
Naresh Kumar, Anil Gautam, Narender Gautam, Rajiv Gautam, Vineet Gautam, and others were present in this drive.
