L.R. Group of Institutes, Solan, under the aegis of LLR Educational Trust, successfully organised a national conference on “National Education Policy 2020: Empowering Teachers, Inspiring Change.” The conference brought together academicians, educators, researchers and students to deliberate on the transformative vision of NEP 2020 and explore strategies to make education more inclusive, practical and future-ready.
The event served as a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas, experiences and perspectives aimed at reshaping the education system in alignment with the goals of NEP 2020.
Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University, Prof. Mahavir Singh, who attended as the chief guest, highlighted the importance of innovation, quality education and skill development in the evolving academic landscape.
Prominent speakers at the conference included Prof. Kulvinder Singh (Retd.), former Head of Department, Education and Community Service, Punjabi University, Patiala; Prof. Kulbhushan Chandel, Department of Commerce, HPU Shimla; Prof. Joginder Singh Dhiman, Dean (Planning), HPU Shimla; and Prof. (Dr.) Ritika Sharma, CDOE, HPU Shimla.
The speakers shared valuable insights on effective implementation of NEP 2020 and stressed the need for a student-centric, skill-based and holistic approach to education.
Managing Director of LR Group of Institutes, Ms. Shachi Singh, said that NEP 2020 is not merely a policy but a strong step towards transforming education. “Our aim is to nurture teachers and students who not only acquire knowledge but can apply it effectively in real-life situations. The conference concluded with a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all distinguished guests, speakers, participants and organisers for making the event a success.
