Shoolini University welcomed the new batch of students with a two-day induction programme which began through the virtual mode today.
The induction programme for the undergraduate students started today and their regular classes would start from September 3. For the postgraduate students, thr induction programme would start on September 3 and regular classes from September 5.
The event began with Saraswati Vandana and a welcome address by Chancellor Prof. PK Khosla. He spoke on the achievements of the young university and underlines the need for research. “Education is not all about books and formal knowledge, but it is more about what you learn outside the classroom and in the outer world” he added.
Talking about the diversity inside the campus, he said that Shoolini University is all about happiness and learning regardless of caste, creed and colour of the individual. He also administered an oath to the new students for devoting themselves to stories and maintaining discipline.
Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla spoke about the ethos of the University. He encouraged new students to follow their dreams and said that University will always stand behind their students at all times.
The students were given a virtual tour of the campus which included the cafes, canteens, trees houses, Yogananda library, labs, open air theater, Yuvraj Singh stadium and Milkha Singh sports complex. In addition to that, the students received an insight about how to use and operate MyShoolini and E-univ apps.
Details on New Education Policy, minors and major subjects were also exhibited followed by information about new IAS and defence programmes for interested students. An introduction to the new student support team was provided which works towards the solution of any on campus problem within 48 hours. At the end of the event, Virtual club mela was organized for the students to choose their preferred club.
