The night bus service of HRTC will also be operated on October 31 on the occasion of Diwali. The MC management has directed the divisional managers of Delhi, Chandigarh, Haridwar and Shimla to run at least one night bus each to provide transport facilities to the people travelling in case of emergency. In the instructions issued by the corporation management to the divisional managers, it has been asked to ensure that the buses do not run empty in any case. HRTC Managing Director Rohan Chand Thakur said that on the night of Diwali, the divisional managers have been directed to run at least one night bus each from Delhi, Chandigarh, Haridwar and Shimla.
On the day of Diwali, 31 October, due to a lower number of passengers, instructions have been given to club the buses on the routes. On the routes where 4 to 5 buses run throughout the day, arrangements will be made to run two buses in the morning and evening for the convenience of the passengers.
