In the new year, Himachal Class-1 and Class-2 officers and employees will not get subsidies on electricity rates. The state government has taken a big decision to strengthen the Electricity Board. This decision was taken in the review meeting of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited chaired by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Monday. Apart from this, various topics were discussed in detail in the meeting and related matters of the Board were discussed. On this occasion, the Chief Minister directed the officials to include innovative measures in the functioning of the Board.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also instructed the officers to make a plan for rationalization of staff. He said that the state government will also provide an additional corpus fund of Rs 100 crore to the Electricity Board. The Chief Minister said that the Government had recently rationalized electricity rates in respect of industry and commercial consumers, thereby ensuring an annual additional income of about Rs 500 crore. Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister Media Naresh Chauhan, Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister Ramsubhag Singh, Principal Secretary Finance Devesh Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar and senior officials of the Electricity Board also participated in the meeting.
