Gross negligence regarding security arrangements has come to light in the perfume factory. Preliminary investigation found that the factory operators had not made any emergency exit. In such a situation, when the fire broke out yesterday afternoon, there was a stampede among the women. The workers somehow managed to escape from the first two floors but could not escape from the upper floor. If there was an emergency door, the workers would not have had to jump from the roof. Due to this, many bones of many workers have been broken. A woman also lost her life due to this reason. She was badly injured after jumping from the roof. Not only this, the store built in the plant also had more chemicals than required.
After the fire broke out in the store, the company did not have enough resources to extinguish it. The plant head and operator of the company are said to be responsible for this. On the other hand, it is being told that there were mostly women in the factory. They were engaged in packing work. Due to lack of trained workers, the workers could not extinguish the initial fire in the plant. The women got scared and started running. If there were trained workers, they could have controlled the fire on their own even in the beginning. DSP Khajana Ram said that the police has registered a case against the company director and plant head under sections 385, 336, 337, 285 and 304. The plant head was produced in the court, from where he has been sent on four-day police remand.
The team has started the investigation outside and Forensic Director Dr. Meenakshi says that they have been able to investigate outside only. It is being ascertained from where the fire started. However, complete information will be known only when the team goes inside. He said that after collecting the samples, its report will be prepared in one to one and a half weeks.
On the other hand, NDRF team has also started the search operation. No body has been recovered yet on the second day. The team is trying to go inside. It is noteworthy that a fire broke out in a perfume manufacturing company in Jharmajri on Friday, in which five people have died so far, while 29 are injured, four people are still missing, whose bodies are being searched.
