Shoolini University hosted a grand North-East cultural evening on the campus with students from these states presenting glimpses of unique cultures and traditions from the states.
The celebration turned into a captivating display of traditional dances, folk music, and rich attire from all eight states of North East India, echoing the spirit of unity in diversity.
From the high-energy Bihu performances of Assam to the elegant bamboo Cheraw dance of Mizoram, students showcased their talent and love for their roots through a range of traditional acts. The audience was transported through the cultural landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim as well, with each performance narrating the unique story of its homeland.
The event witnessed Shoolini University’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and cultural understanding among its students. It created a joyful space where regional identities were celebrated, and cross-cultural connections were formed.
Mrs Poonam Nanda, Director Sustainability and the driving force behind the evening, expressed her delight at the overwhelming participation and enthusiasm of the students.
“At Shoolini, we believe that every culture adds to our collective strength and beauty. This celebration was not just about dance and music, but about embracing our shared humanity. I am proud of our students for coming together to honour the North East and represent India’s true diversity,” she said.
