NSS Unit of Baddi University in collaboration with Rotary Blood Society Center Chandigarh organized a blood donation camp in the university campus. The camp was inaugurated by the chief guest, Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. JK Sharma.
A large number of volunteers participated enthusiastically in this blood donation camp. More than 100 units of blood were collected in this camp. Dr. JK Sharma addressed the dignitaries and explained about the importance of blood donation.
The program was conducted by NSSPO Gurvinder Singh. During this period, a free health check-up camp was also organized by the Physiotherapy Department. In his address, the Vice Chancellor praised this event and said blood donation is a great donation and we should donate blood whenever we get a chance.
He said that organizing the blood donation camp is a symbol of Baddi University’s dedication towards humanity, and also shows the university’s commitment towards a healthy society.
He also expressed his gratitude to Rotary Blood Center Chandigarh. During this, citation certificates were also given to blood donors. On this occasion, the present Registrar Professor Dr. Khushmeet Kumar, Sushma Singh, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, teaching and non-teaching staff were also present.
