District Tuberculosis Eradication Committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner
Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap said that instructions have been given to explore options for including local products in the nutrition kit of TB patients in the district. Local products are of good quality and many self-help groups in the district are manufacturing nutritious products. In such a situation, if TB patients consume products full of medicinal properties, then it will help them in treatment.
The Deputy Commissioner was presiding over the meeting of the District Tuberculosis Eradication Committee held here today in which issues like TB Free India Campaign, Hand Held X-Ray, Nishchay Mitra Cooperation etc. were discussed in detail.
He said that a special awareness campaign was conducted in 313 gram panchayats of the district in which people were made aware about tuberculosis. At the panchayat level, the health department team kept detailed information about all the schemes related to TB.
Anupam Kashyap said that people suffer from many diseases but hesitate to go to the hospital. People show very little cooperation towards people suffering from TB and drug addiction, therefore making people aware about the importance of community role is our priority. If there are healthy people around us, then a healthy community system will develop.
A meeting of all stakeholders will be held in future to make the district TB free. All the concerned departments, social stakeholders will be involved in this. After this, preparations will be made to implement the TB free campaign in the district under a comprehensive plan.
