Himachal Pradesh might see more rain in the future. The Meteorological Center Shimla predicts that rain will persist in various areas of the state through August 26. For August 20, 22, and 23, a yellow notice for light to moderate rain has been issued. At the same time, August 24–26 has been marked with an orange alert for severe rain. This indicates that there may be a lot of rain these days, so folks should be on the lookout.
Last night, many areas of the state received good rain. 68.0 mm of rain was recorded in Bharwain, 63.4 in Dehra Gopipur, 60.4 in Palampur and 56.0 mm in Solan. Apart from this, places like Guler, Bilaspur, Jubbarhatti, Srinayana Devi, Naidun, Jogindernagar, Nagarota Surian and Sujanpur Tihra also received good rain.
Himachal has suffered heavy losses in this monsoon season from June 20 to August 20. During this period, 276 people have lost their lives, while 336 people have been injured. 37 people are still missing. 133 people have died in road accidents.
