Solan, August 25
A three-day orientation programme was organised for MSc students at the Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management (SILB). The departments of Microbiology, Biotechnology, Botany, and Chemistry put together the programme to welcome the new MSc students for the session 2022–2023.
The chairperson of the institute, Mrs. Saroj Khosla, started the programme by lighting the lamp. SILB Director Dr. Shalini Sharma told the students about the rules and regulations of the college and anti-ragging norms. On the first day, the students went to an introductory session where they learned about their departments and the different research opportunities they might have in the future.
The second day started with a technical session in which the guest speaker, Professor P. K. Khosla, Chancellor of Shoolini University, explained the importance of research to the students and motivated them to continue on the path of success. He encouraged the students to be loyal to their duty and to their parents and teachers so that they can contribute to the upliftment of the institution and the country. On the third day, the cultural programme was organised, and prizes and certificates were distributed to the participants.
