Shoolini University recorded an exceptional response to its Blood Donation Camp, held on campus. The event brought together students, faculty members, staff, and volunteers in a remarkable display of compassion and social responsibility.
Organised in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, the camp was conducted under the supervision of trained medical professionals who ensured a safe and well-coordinated blood collection process. The partnership with IGMC added credibility and reassurance, motivating many first-time donors to participate with confidence.
The camp saw enthusiastic participation, with more than 135 donors stepping forward to contribute to the life-saving cause. To raise awareness about critical health issues, two informative stalls were also set up during the event.
An Organ Donation Awareness Stall educated students about how a single donor can save multiple lives, while the Datri Stem Cell Donation Awareness Stall guided participants on stem cell donation and its significance for patients battling blood cancers and other life-threatening conditions.
Director, Sustainability and Community Projects, Mrs. Poonam Nanda, praised the collective effort and said, “I am incredibly proud of our students for showing such initiative, empathy, and dedication.” Donating blood is one of the purest forms of service, and today’s turnout truly reflects the compassionate values our university believes in. A heartfelt thank you to every donor, volunteer, and our partners from IGMC for making this camp a success, she added.
Mrs Nanda also extended gratitude to IGMC Shimla, the volunteers, coordinators, and the entire university community for making the event meaningful and memorable.
