Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap held a special meeting with the Block Development Officer and Panchayat Secretaries of the Chhohara and Kupvi blocks through video conference.
In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the role of Panchayat Secretary is important in providing the benefits of welfare schemes to the people. He said that the Panchayat Secretary should discharge his responsibilities honestly. He said that the Panchayat Secretary should have complete information about his Panchayat and the record of data should be updated. In times of disaster, the Panchayat Secretary should play a leading role. He said that disciplinary action will be taken against the Panchayat Secretary who is negligent in his work.
The Deputy Commissioner said that for poverty alleviation, the Panchayat Secretary should decide his strategy about how he can do better work in the Panchayat during his tenure. Apart from this, work should be done through government schemes for the upliftment of BPL families. He said that the Panchayat Secretary should work in his Panchayat by establishing coordination with all the departments. Banks should also work seriously on awareness camps, health camps, TB free India campaign, drug prevention.
ADM Jyoti Rana, Sub Divisional Magistrate Rohru Dharmesh Ramotra, Sub Divisional Magistrate Kupvi Aman Kumar Rana, District Revenue Officer Sanjeet Sharma and many other dignitaries were present in this meeting.
SDM and BDO should take feedback from field staff every day
The Deputy Commissioner directed the SDM and BDO to take feedback of work from two members of the field staff every day. The field staff will have to give correct information about how much work is pending with the field staff, how many works are in the final stage and how many works have been completed. If the information is not found to be correct, action will be taken against them.
