Chamba
On Wednesday, there was a commotion in the Municipal Council Chamba’s Surada district when residents began receiving electric shocks when they touched the electrical equipment they kept at home. When the ward’s inhabitants realized how bad the situation was, they acted quickly and notified the Electricity Board via Councilor Urmila Jasrotia. Following receipt of the information, the Electricity Board personnel promptly arrived on the scene and assessed the situation.
An atmosphere of concern was created in the neighborhood after it was reported that many residents, including Bhupendra, Surendra, and Rajendra of Surada Mohalla and the rest house of Jal Shakti Department, had experienced electric shocks when they touched electronic devices kept in their homes. As soon as JE Vineet received the complaint, he visited the location, spoke with the ward’s inhabitants, and asked them about the problem. He suggested that folks exercise extra caution. According to JE Vineet, no one should handle electrical equipment while barefoot or with damp hands. Rain is making it more difficult to find the problem.
According to JE, there is a chance of electric current surrounding the transformer and electric pole on wet days because of water leaks or persistent rain. The ground or the walls of the homes may also allow this current to get to the equipment. He reassured the public that the board’s staff has begun investigating this technological issue seriously and that a solution will be found shortly.
