People living within 100 meters of the four-lane in Himachal Pradesh will now be included in town and country planning. In such a situation, TCP has made it mandatory to obtain NOC for construction or reconstruction of domestic or commercial buildings living in the concerned area. However, during the construction of the four-lane, the people concerned can easily get the damaged or half-broken buildings repaired. The government is doing this so that the construction method is appropriate.
The distance from the four-lane should also be according to the rules so that they do not face any problems. In Himachal Pradesh, two new four-lanes are being constructed from Pathankot to Mandi and Kangra to Shimla. On both these roads, people’s homes and business establishments have been affected on a large scale. Those whose entire buildings have come under the purview of the four-lane have some claim, but those whose half-constructed buildings have been demolished will now have to take permission from Town and Country Planning.
Although the department claims that people can repair, for new construction or additional construction, it is mandatory for the concerned person to apply online and get NOC from the department. It is being said that people should not do any such construction on the side of a high-speed road like four-lane, which may cause any kind of danger in the future or the concerned people have to take any kind of risk. Those doing reconstruction will also have to inform the department so that they can be informed about the rules.
On the other hand, Town and Country Planning Officer Rashik Sharma says that now 100-100-meter area on both sides of the four-lane has been included in the TCP. In such a situation, it will be mandatory to get an NOC for new construction. For this, people can apply online. They will be given NOC in just two days. Its purpose is that construction should be done under the scheme in the area adjacent to an important highway like the four-lane. Due to this, the public will not be allowed to face any kind of problem.
