Phanindra Singal, Assistant Professor in the Law Department of IEC University, recently participated in the “Mega Legal Literacy Camp” organized at Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Horticulture and Forestry University. The main objective of this program was to educate youth about the essentials of law, to sensitize them about the growing threat of drug abuse, and to promote a drug-free lifestyle.
The program began with the welcome of the Chief Guest, Honorable Justice Mr. Vivek Singh Thakur, and the distinguished guests – Justice Mr. Virendra Singh, Justice Mr. Zia Lal Bhardwaj, and Justice Mr. Ramesh Verma. Mr. Vivek Singh Thakur called upon the youth to stand up against drug abuse and contribute to building a “drug-free India.” Other guests also emphasized the importance of awareness, education, and community participation in their messages.
On this occasion, Phanindra Singal delivered an impressive speech on the topic of “Drug-Free Society.” He highlighted the growing trend of drug addiction among youth, the physical, mental, and emotional harm of drugs, and the adverse effects on family, career, and society. He also appealed for self-discipline, willpower, sports, meditation, and positive social engagement.
At the event, students pledged to live a drug-free life and participated in an interactive session. This camp played a vital role in raising awareness about drug addiction among youth and building a healthy future.
