Two day conference of Physics started in Technical University
Hamirpur. A two-day national conference on Recent Advances in Science and Technology for Futuristic Applications of the Department of Physics, Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, was inaugurated on Tuesday. Vice Chancellor of Technical University, Prof. Shashi Kumar Dhiman participated in the conference as the chief guest, while Prof. Hum Chand of Central University, Dharamshala, Prof. Satindra Kumar Sharma of IIT Mandi, Dr. P. Deepak of Chandigarh University were present as key resource persons. The Vice Chancellor said that this type of conference helps in increasing interest in innovation among researchers and students. In the coming times, technology is developing rapidly, hence new ideas of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and analysis tools are being worked on. He said that physics has established new dimensions in the field of science and technology. In the coming times, this new technology will play an important role for all sections of the society. At the same time, Prof. Satindra Kumar Sharma presented detailed information on other new topics in the field of physics including 2D transition metal dichlorocyanide, photonics and optoelectronics. Also informed about quantum technology research, on which work is being done in IIT Mandi. On this occasion, Technical University Dean Academic Prof. Jaidev, Registrar Kamal Dev Singh Kanwar, Finance Officer Neeraj Sood, Dr. Neelam Guleria of JNGEC Sundernagar, Sunil Kumar of RGGEC Nagrota Bagwan and professors and students were present in the conference. Conference coordinator Dr JP Sharma said that there were two technical sessions on the first day, which were chaired by Prof Hum Chand and Prof Satindra Kumar Sharma. Presiding over the technical session, Prof. Hum Chand gave detailed information about the mysteries of astronomy and atmosphere. Apart from this, a table round interactive session was also held in which researchers and students of Physics Department of NIT Hamirpur, Government College Hamirpur and Gautam College Hamirpur presented their views.
