Complete ban on sale of firecrackers at places other than identified places
Issuing the order today, District Magistrate Shimla and Deputy Commissioner Shimla said that in view of the upcoming Diwali festival, there will be a complete ban on the sale of firecrackers and fireworks in Shimla city and surrounding areas except the notified places.
He said that this place would be at Ice-skating Rink Shimla, Baluganj Sports Ground (opposite Gopal Mandir), Sanjauli ahead of PWD parking towards Chhota Shimla, Khalini Bypass near Trilok Chand Shop, Himachal Pradesh University Ground, Summerhill Shimla, Chhota Shimla. Open space on the road towards Kasumpti, Government SeniorOpen Ground near Secondary School Fagli Shimla, Panchayat Ground Bhatta Kuffar, Sector 6 Bus Stand near Kangnadhar New Shimla, Talai Mandir Ground Mashobra, Near Vikas Nagar Police Post, New Parking Tutu, Rani Ground Kusumpti and Panchayat Ghar Thadi, Shoghi Ko. Has been marked.
He said that to avoid any incident, it is necessary to remove all the vehicles parked at that place.
He said that Municipal Corporation Shimla and Public Works Department will identify the areas and set up stalls at all the places. The fire department will provide fire fighting system at all places.
This order will be in force from October 24, 2024 to October 31, 2024.
