The team of Arki Police Station has succeeded in arresting a proclaimed offender. The said proclaimed offender was wanted in 3 cases of theft and was trying to escape from a longer period.
The arrested accused has been identified as Ganesh (26), resident of Nankhari in District Shimla. Police arrested him from Theog nearby area.
According to the information, a case of theft has been registered against Ganesh in Arki Police Station. Despite repeated summons issued by the court, he was absent from the hearing, due to which the court declared him a proclaimed offender. The accused was constantly changing his hideouts to avoid arrest. The police was searching for him for a long time and finally he was arrested from Theog on the basis of secret information.
During the investigation, it was found that the accused is registered with two similar cases of theft in Darlaghat police station.
In both these cases, the court has declared him a proclaimed offender.
Superintendent of Police Solan Gaurav Singh confirmed the case and said that the criminal cases has already registered against the accused. He has criminal record that being thoroughly investigated, so that it can be ascertained whether he is involved in other cases as well.
