HPSEB announces scheduled power shutdown across multiple feeders; residents advised to plan accordingly
Solan, June 8: The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in several parts of Solan on June 10, 2026, to facilitate essential maintenance work ahead of the National Shoolini Fair-2026.
Additional Superintending Engineer, Solan, Rahul Verma, said that power supply under the 33 KV Solan-Kathed feeder will remain suspended from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Areas likely to be affected include Mall Road, Upper Bazaar, Old Deputy Commissioner’s Office area, Court Complex, PWD Colony, Regional Hospital, Forest Road, Mela Ground, Shamti, Damrog, Kathed, Mini Secretariat, Rajgarh Road, Municipal Corporation area, Chambaghat, Basal, Housing Board Colony, Karol Vihar and adjoining localities.
He further informed that power supply under the 11 KV MES, Solan No. 1, Solan No. 2, Solan No. 3 and Sarahan/Himachal Conductor feeders will remain disrupted from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
The affected areas include MES Colony, Upper and Lower Bazaar, Old Bus Stand, ITI, Jawahar Park, Government College area, Scientist Colony, Kotla Nala, Tank Road, Forest Road, Shoolini Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Hospital Road, Chowk Bazaar, Ganj Bazaar, Madhuban Colony, Officers Colony, Thodo Ground, Surya Vihar, Khundidhar, Damrog, Balana, BSNL Colony and several nearby localities.
Rahul Verma appealed to consumers to cooperate during the maintenance work and stated that every effort would be made to restore electricity supply immediately after the completion of the scheduled work. He added that the shutdown is essential to ensure smooth and uninterrupted power supply arrangements during the upcoming National Shoolini Fair.
