Solan
A major incident came to light in Nalagarh of Solan district, Himachal Pradesh, on the very first day of the New Year. A loud explosion occurred early in the morning in a narrow lane near the Nalagarh police station, shaking the entire area. The blast was so intense that it created panic among residents and led to chaos at the spot.
The severity of the explosion can be gauged from the fact that window panes of nearby buildings and the army canteen were shattered. According to local residents and migrant workers present in the area, the sound of the blast was heard from a considerable distance. Eyewitnesses said that the area trembled violently and visibility was momentarily lost after the explosion. People sitting at nearby tea stalls were left terrified by the sudden loud noise.
Immediately after receiving information about the incident, Nalagarh police swung into action. The area has been completely sealed, and barricades have been set up on both sides as investigations continue. SP Baddi Vinod Dhiman reached the spot along with his team. Considering the sensitivity of the case, a forensic team has also been called from Shimla to collect evidence.
Police are investigating the matter from all angles, but it is still unclear what caused the explosion or what material was involved. No official statement has been issued so far regarding the cause of the blast. The situation is expected to become clear after the forensic investigation is completed.
