DC called a meeting
Nahan 11 October. The famous International Shri Renukaji Fair of Sirmaur district will be organized with pomp at Shri Renukaji from 22nd to 27th November. The preparations for the fair have started. Deputy Commissioner Sumit Khimta today called a meeting of departmental officers to organize the fair on a large scale in Nahan. In the meeting, the officers were informed about the different responsibilities related to the fair and asked the officers to discharge the assigned responsibilities honestly.
Sumit Khimta said that the fair lasts for 6 days in which apart from various types of activities, cultural evenings are organized every day. Every day in these evenings a performance by some star artist is organized. Apart from this, appropriate mantras are made available to the artists from different parts of the district and state. He said that a huge amount is spent in the fair for which there is a special focus on donations.
The Deputy Commissioner issued necessary guidelines to the concerned officers for creating special arrangements and facilities during the fair. The Deputy Commissioner said that separate committees will be formed to execute the responsibilities. He said that during the fair, the main focus will be on arranging many temporary toilets, water arrangements, cleanliness arrangements, transport arrangements, electricity arrangements and ensuring law and order. He said that a multicolored souvenir of the fair will also be published. Articles of intellectuals will also be included in this. The souvenir will also include information about the history and organization of the fair. For this he asked the District Public Relations Officer to receive the message and provide the article.
Additional District Magistrate L.R. Verma, Assistant Commissioner Vivek Sharma, SDM Rajnesh Sharma and officials of all departments were present in the meeting.
