A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner regarding the preparations for the function.
Himachal Day celebrations will be held with great enthusiasm at the historic Ridge Maidan on April 15, 2026. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap while presiding over a meeting held here today regarding the preparations for the celebrations.
He informed that an attractive parade will be organised in the programme, in which Shimla Police, Traffic Police, Home Guard, NSS, NCC, Scouts and Guides, besides Disaster Mitras will also participate, whose rehearsal will start from April 11. Similarly, cultural programmes will also be organised in the function, in which students from various schools will give their colourful performances.
Anupam Kashyap also gave instructions to pay special attention to cleanliness at the venue, make proper seating arrangements for everyone and ensure better decoration.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed all the departments to work in coordination and complete all the preparations by the stipulated time limit.
