Chamba: During his stay in Himachal Pradesh, Union Minister of State Durgadas Uikey held a department-wise meeting of all the departmental officers of the district in Bharmour Assembly District Chamba and gave them guidelines for resolving the local public problems. We are determined to repair the losses incurred in the flood-affected areas and to provide benefits to the people on the ground.
After the meeting, Bharmour MLA Janak Raj and all the district officials handed over to me the report on the damage caused by the flood disaster and the report prepared to deal with it. He said that the Honorable Prime Minister has released an immediate assistance of Rs 1500 crore for the flood affected areas of Himachal Pradesh.
My dear brothers and sisters, the Central Government is standing with you in this time of disaster. I met the flood-affected people of Bharmour in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh and enquired about their well-being. I met with social workers and elders to know about the damage caused by the flood. I salute the enthusiasm and passion of the brothers and sisters of Chamba for public service and helping other flood-affected people even after coming out of the disaster after being affected by the flood.
