A serious road accident occurred on Monday in the Sundernagar area when a private bus reportedly lost control and fell into a deep gorge under the jurisdiction of the BSL Police Station, near the Charkhri area.
The private “Chetan” bus was carrying several passengers at the time of the accident. On receiving information, local residents rushed to the spot and immediately launched rescue and relief operations.
According to initial reports, 4 to 5 passengers sustained injuries and were promptly shifted to a nearby hospital with the help of villagers. The condition of one injured woman is stated to be critical, and she is currently undergoing treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
