ESIC’s Hamirpur branch organized an awareness program in the town hall
Hamirpur, August 18. The Hamirpur branch of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) under the Ministry of Labour and Employment organised an awareness camp at the Town Hall here in which employers and employees of various enterprises participated.
On this occasion, Hamirpur branch officer Aman Kumar provided many important information to the employers and employees. He told that many social security schemes are being run through the corporation for the employees of the private sector. All eligible employees should take advantage of these and all employers should get their employees registered.
He informed that the corporation has launched the SPREE-2025 scheme to promote the registration of employers and employees. Under this scheme, a special awareness and registration campaign is being run from July 1 to December 31. The main objective of this scheme is to provide social security and free health facilities to unregistered employers and employees, especially contract and temporarily appointed employees, by getting them registered under ESIC.
Aman Kumar said that enterprises and institutions employing 10 or more employees and their employees are registered under ESIC so that these employees can benefit from various social security schemes under the ESI Act. Employers and employees who are not yet registered will not be charged any previous record or dues while registering them under the SPREE-2025 scheme.
Under this scheme, employers can register their units and institutions and employees online through ESIC portal, Shram Suvidha and MCA portal. This registration will be considered valid from the date declared by the employer. No contribution or benefit will be applicable for the period before registration and records of that period will also not be asked for.
