The State Election Commission of Himachal Pradesh has issued a program for preparing voter lists for the elections of Panchayati Raj Institutions. This information was given by District Election Officer (Panchayat) and Deputy Commissioner Solan Manmohan Sharma.
Manmohan Sharma said that as per the program released by the State Election Commission, the work of mapping polling stations will be completed by August 14, 2025. He said that this work will be completed at the block level by August 22, 2025. He said that the verification of voters will be done by September 08, 2025. The mapping of voters will be completed by September 17, 2025. The draft voter list will be published by September 19, 2025.
He said that special meetings of the Gram Sabha will be held from September 20, 2025 to September 26, 2025.
According to the order issued by the State Election Commission, the Commission has received the Assembly wise voter list from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer Himachal Pradesh. The draft voter list published by the State Election Commission will contain the names of all those voters who are included in the voter list issued by the Election Commission of India. He said that eligible but out of this list persons can get their names registered in the voter list of the State Election Commission after the publication of the draft voter list. For this they will have to follow the prescribed procedure.
Manmohan Sharma has directed all the Block Development Officers and Assistant Voter Registration Officers of the district to ensure compliance with the order issued by the State Election Commission on August 1, 2025 in this regard.
