Baddi Police has exposed a prostitution racket in a hotel located in the Nangal area of Nalagarh under a well-planned operation. In this operation, the police raided the hotel posing as fake customers and rescued four women safely from the spot. This entire operation has once again proved that the police are fully alert about serious crimes like prostitution.
According to the information received from the police, the hotel was being operated by Dilshad, a resident of village Nanowal (Post Office Kheda, Tehsil Nalagarh, District Solan), and Monu Rana, a resident of village Bhadal (Post Office Tohgath, Tehsil Baraut, District Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh). Both these accused used to establish contact with the customers through hotel employee Sachin, son of Suresh (resident of village Nangal, Post Office Tohgath, Tehsil Baraut, District Baghpat), and then hand over the women in exchange for money.
During the raid, the police also recovered 9 bottles of illegal liquor, a copy of the accounts and two vehicles from the hotel. All these items have been confiscated. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police have arrested Sachin, a hotel employee present at the spot.
ASP Baddi Ashok Verma confirmed that the police have registered a case against the three accused in Nalagarh police station under Sections 3 and 4 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and Section 39 (1) A of the Himachal Pradesh Excise Act. He also clarified that further investigation is going on and the police are also investigating other people associated with this network. At the same time, necessary steps are also being taken by the administration regarding the counseling and rehabilitation of the rescued women.
