Addressing a public meeting in Gram Panchayat Ogli, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that due to the rising water level of Sutlej river, people of nearby villages have started getting scared. Sunni-Tatapani road has been affected due to heavy rains. People have suffered a lot due to monsoon, which is being assessed. Along with this, relief work is also going on.
He said that projects for development work should be started but the interests of local people should be protected first.
* Five roads will be included under National Highway*
Five roads of the state have been selected under the PM Gati Shakti Yojana of the Central Government. Shimla Rural’s Salapad-Sunni-Tattapani-Luhri road has also been included in it. He said that he hopes that the central government will approve all the five roads. The Himachal government has sent a proposal to include five major roads of the state in the PM Gati Shakti portal. These include Jwalamukhi-Dehra-Jwali-Raja Ka Talab-Jasur, Kaloor-Dhaneta-Barsar-Barthin-Bachhal, Salapad-Harnora-Kasol-Tattapani-Sunni-Luhri, Draman-Singhuta-Chuwari-Jot-Chamba and Shimla-Nalagarh-Kanauli roads.
He said that a women’s conference would be organised soon in Jaloog in which Mahila Mandal and self-help groups would participate.
The minister announced to give Rs. 10 lakh for the under construction Ogli Panchayat house and Rs. 4 lakh for the incomplete development works of the Panchayat.
