One person was killed in a clash between two groups of people over parking of a car at Shaminala on the Kullu-Manali left bank road. Thereafter, the accused fled away from the scene. The driver is said to be from Punjab. Meanwhile, police have registered a case and begun an investigation. According to the information, two people got into an argument with each other at Shaminala in Jagatsukh Panchayat of Manali.
According to the police, after 9:00 pm on Saturday, the drivers of two vehicles carrying tourists from Punjab had unloaded the passengers and parked their vehicles on the roadside. Both of them were sitting in the car. Meanwhile, a local resident, Gulshan came there and started arguing with them. After a minor altercation, the driver from Punjab slapped her. Gulshan also kicked him, due to which he rolled down and fell on the lantern of the house. This resulted in his death.
Manali DSP KD Sharma said the driver, Baljit Singh Mann (47), son of Sardar Joginder Singh, lodged a complaint at the police station that his fellow driver, Baljinder Singh (41), son of Darshan Singh, kicked Chandigarh Sector-14 in a quarrel on Saturday, due to which he fell on the lanter about 20 feet below and died. The accused is absconding, the DSP said. A police team has been sent to nab the accused. A case has been registered against the accused under the Indian Penal Code, and the victim’s family has been informed. The body has been sent to the district hospital for a postmortem.
