Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh planted saplings in Ghadheri Panchayat today under the Rajiv Gandhi Forest Conservation Scheme. Under this scheme, 1600 saplings will be planted in the Panchayat. So far, 24 thousand saplings have been planted under the Rajiv Gandhi Forest Conservation Scheme in Basantpur block.
Vikramaditya Singh said that the objective of ‘Rajiv Gandhi Van Samvardhan Yojana’ is to strengthen the conservation and development of forests through a community based approach. This scheme will be implemented in the state in five years at a cost of Rs 100 crore.
He said that under this scheme, registered Mahila Mandals, Yuvak Mandals, Self Help Groups and other community organizations are being linked with afforestation activities. Each group will be entrusted with the responsibility of planting trees on 1 to 5 hectares of land and its maintenance for five years. He said that under this scheme, financial assistance of up to Rs 1.20 lakh will be given to the groups on plantation per hectare. Along with this, incentives will also be provided based on the survival rate of the plants . If more than 50 percent survival of the plants is ensured, then the group will be given an additional Rs 1 lakh.
Minister organized “Minister at your door program” in Dharogda
During his two-day visit to Shimla Rural, the Public Works and Urban Development Minister heard public grievances in Dharogda under the “Mantri Aapke Dwar Program”. During this, many complaints were resolved on the spot.
Local Gram Panchayat Pradhan Khimesh Kashyap and Deputy Pradhan Dalip Verma honoured the minister by presenting him with a shawl and cap. Pradhan Yuvak Mandal Damog Mahesh Bhandari also honoured the cabinet minister.
Addressing the public meeting on this occasion, Vikramaditya Singh said that the construction work of Dharogda-Daloogh Valley road will be completed within the stipulated time. An additional Rs 20 lakh has also been released for this. A special meeting will be held with the forest department officials regarding the delay in the construction of this road so that all the formalities can be completed soon .
Kel Bagdi Lift Drinking Water Scheme is being constructed from Pandoa Khad at a cost of Rs. 25 crore
The construction work of Kel Bagdi Lift Drinking Water Scheme from Pandoa Khad is going to be completed at a cost of Rs 25 crore. This scheme will be inaugurated in the coming few months. People of 6 panchayats will get 24-hour water supply from this scheme. Former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh had laid the foundation stone of this scheme and it was his dream project which is getting completed soon. He said that development work is going on in Dharogda Panchayat at a cost of Rs 10 crore under the Public Works Department. He told that Rs 16 lakh has been given for this Panchayat from the MLA fund.
He said that the Golu-Palgad road construction work is in its final stage. The department officials have been instructed to complete the work immediately. Similarly, the Public Works Department has been instructed to prepare an estimate for the construction of the Kanda to Luhnu road after which the budget will be provided.
The cabinet minister announced to provide Rs. 2 lakh from the MLA fund through the Panchayat for the community building under construction at Damog Dev Sthal. Apart from this, he announced to provide Rs. 3 lakh from the MLA fund for development works in the Panchayat.
Public Works Minister inaugurated the Inspected Dharogda-Daloogh Valley road. Road construction work has been hanging in balance for a long time. The minister directed that other options should be explored to complete the road construction.
Minister in the garden “Minister at your door” program
The Public Works Minister heard public grievances under the “Minister at Your Door” program at Gram Panchayat Bagh.
While addressing the public meeting, Vikramaditya Singh said that the local people have started getting a lot of benefits due to the construction of the Kyalu-Barota road in this Panchayat. This road will also be connected with other roads. He said that Rs 17 lakh has been sanctioned in the Panchayat under various heads during his tenure. Along with this, works worth Rs 8 crore are going on under the Public Works Department. He announced to give Rs 05 lakh from the MLA fund for the roads of the Panchayat.
Cabinet minister stayed the night at a worker’s house in Himri
During his two-day visit to Shimla Rural Assembly constituency, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, along with his staff, stayed overnight in Himri village on August 23. According to the official tour, arrangements for his overnight stay were made at the Public Works Department’s rest house in Jaloog, but during the Minister Aapke Dwar program in Himri Panchayat, he announced that he would spend the night at the house of Jiya Lal Verma in the same village. The minister stayed at his house with his staff and also had food there. During this time, he discussed many important issues with the local people at the house.
Vikramaditya Singh said that staying overnight at people’s homes is an effort to spend as much time as possible with the people of his constituency. Along with this, he is able to get to know the problems of the people in a better way. People are very inclined towards the Minister at Your Doorstep program because people’s complaints are being resolved on the spot.
Work will be done towards building a Panchayat house in Bharada
The Minister Aapke Dwar program was also organized in Gram Panchayat Bharada. He said that this is a new Panchayat. Soon work will be done towards building a Panchayat house here. Land has been selected for the Panchayat house. After this all the upcoming formalities will be completed. This Panchayat will be included in the crop affected area. Two bridges will be built from Jaishi to Balabal and near Bharada with Rs 35 lakh. He said that positive steps will be taken on all the demands of the Panchayat. We will work actively to provide employment to the project affected people.
