Shimla (Atal Shiksha Kunj)
The “Raabta” cultural evening was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur at IEC University. The event witnessed an impressive gathering of students, faculty members, and dignitaries, creating an atmosphere filled with cultural vibrancy and youthful energy.
The Chief Guest, Shri Ram Kumar Chaudhary, Hon’ble MLA and respected member of the University’s Governing Council, was accorded a warm welcome by Vice Chancellor Dr. Ashok Puri and other officials. He was felicitated with a traditional shawl, cap, and memento as a mark of respect.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Ram Kumar Chaudhary delivered an inspiring speech, motivating students to remain focused on their goals, work hard with dedication, and stay away from drugs. He emphasized the importance of discipline and determination in shaping a successful future.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. Students captivated the audience with a wide range of performances including modeling, singing, Haryanvi and Rajasthani folk dances, inter-state cultural presentations, contemporary and semi-classical dances, solo and retro performances, humorous acts, Giddha, Naati, and Bhangra. Special performances by NCC cadets and an international dance presentation by students from Sudan added a unique charm to the evening.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Ashok Puri reiterated the university’s commitment to nurturing students’ artistic talents by organizing such cultural platforms.
The event concluded with the felicitation of outstanding performers, who were awarded certificates, medals, and mementos in recognition of their excellence, marking a memorable and successful cultural celebration at the university.
