This time, the famous company Kamdhenu Dairy, which supplies milk and its products in various districts of the state, is on the target. Recently, a video went viral on social media regarding the quality of Kamdhenu brand milk. In which a young woman claimed that there was a suspicious white substance in the milk packet. This video not only increased the concern of consumers, but also created a stir at the departmental level.
Due to the viral video and quality related issues that came up earlier, on Sunday, on the instructions of the Food Safety Directorate, the team of the Food Safety Department was seen in action mode even on a holiday. The team of the Food Safety Department took action yesterday and raided the Kamdhenu headquarters located in Nanhol.
The raid was led by Food Safety Officer Khagendra Negi. During this, the team took samples of milk, curd and ghee on the spot. Which have now been sent to the lab for testing. Samples taken from Kamdhenu Dairy have been sent to the lab. Next action will be taken only after the report comes. It is worth noting that this is not the first case when Kamdhenu milk has come under controversy. Last month too, the milk of this company was accused of delivering the product to the market before the packaging date. When the food department took action, the milk sample was found to have failed in the investigation. These incidents have put a question mark on the credibility of this brand among consumers. Legal action is being taken by the company against the girl who made the viral video. Kamdhenu management says that the allegations made in the video are baseless and are going to harm the image of the brand. However, after action at the departmental level, the truth will now be confirmed only by the investigation report.
At the same time, after these incidents, a wave of concern has spread among consumers across the state. At many places, people have talked about boycotting Kamdhenu products. Sharp reactions are also being seen on social media on this subject. Experts say that milk and its products are directly related to the health of the general public, so any kind of negligence can bring serious consequences. Kamdhenu Dairy, which is repeatedly embroiled in controversies, has now come under the target of the Food Safety Department. In such a situation, the matter will be fully revealed only after the investigation report.
