Shimla
The weather in Himachal Pradesh is going to remain cloudy plus rain for the next six days. The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast that rain activities will continue in many parts of the state for the next six days.
However, on the other hand, the temperature is continuously increasing in many areas of the plains like Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Kangra, due to which heat wave has started blowing in some places during the afternoon.
On Thursday, the maximum temperature in Una was recorded at 41.8 degrees Celsius, which was the highest in the entire state this season. This day was recorded as the hottest day of this season. Along with Una, Dharamshala, Shimla, Kasauli, Dhaula Kuan and Kangra also recorded the highest temperature of this season. In the plain districts, hot winds have started troubling people since 9 am, making it difficult to go out during the day. The Meteorological Center Shimla has given detailed information about the weather for the coming days. According to the center, there is a possibility of light rain at some places in the middle and high mountain areas of the state during May 16 to 18. Today i.e. on May 16, light rain may occur at some places in the high mountain areas.
There may be a change in the weather on May 19. The Meteorological Department has predicted that light to moderate rain may occur on this day in some parts of the low mountainous and high mountainous areas as well as many places in the middle mountainous areas. There is also a possibility of light rain at some places in the state on May 20. After this, the weather may remain bad at some places in the state on May 21 and 22 as well.
The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms at some places for May 19 and 20. This means that strong winds may blow on these two days, due to which people are advised to be cautious. Due to this changing weather, the people of the state may have to face both heat and rain. While people in the plains are facing problems due to the rise in temperature, rain may bring some relief in the hilly areas. This season can be important for farmers and gardeners, as the rain will act as a lifesaver for the crops. However, strong winds and heavy rains can also cause damage in some areas.
