State BJP President Rajeev Bindal strongly reacted to the protest during the International AI Summit, terming the incident unfortunate and a well-planned attempt to damage India’s global reputation.
He alleged that when representatives from several countries had gathered in India to deliberate on a crucial subject like Artificial Intelligence, and the nation’s stature was being enhanced at the international level, disruptive elements linked to Indian National Congress allegedly entered the venue and staged an indecent protest, thereby attempting to tarnish the country’s image.
Dr Bindal stated that such actions were not merely directed against the Bharatiya Janata Party or the Prime Minister, but were against the dignity of the nation. He said that such behaviour inside a high-security international event reflected the level of political frustration and desperation within the Congress.
He further added that incidents like these on global platforms are aimed at undermining India’s achievements and weakening its international standing, drawing widespread condemnation.
The BJP leader said that on issues concerning national interest, all political parties should work together to enhance the country’s prestige. However, he alleged that Congress had compromised national interest to overcome political setbacks. He affirmed that the BJP condemns the act in the strongest terms and expressed confidence that the people of the country would respond to such actions democratically.
