Girls are also not behind in supplying drugs in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. Shimla Police on Tuesday arrested two Chitta peddler girls. Both the arrested girls are said to be sisters. Yesterday the police has arrested 6 people of Ranjan Gang and busted it. Both the girls arrested on Tuesday are members of this gang.
After Shahi Mahatma and Radhe gang, police arrested 6 accused of Ranjan gang yesterday. Three members of this gang were caught earlier. On the basis of their interrogation, the police has exposed the Ranjan gang. Police have registered the case and started further action.
DSP Theog Siddharth Sharma said that under the NDPS Act, on September 13, the police had arrested 3 people with chitchat from a rented room in Kotkhai, which included 2 smugglers from Kotkhai and 1 from Delhi.
At the time of their arrest, the police got information that they belonged to an interstate gang. After this the police continued the investigation and investigated their background. In this, the police got a big success on Monday when the police arrested 6 people of this gang and today two girls have been arrested in this.
DSP Theog said that till now 11 smugglers of Ranjan gang have been caught. Among the smugglers caught in the gang, gang leader Ranjan Sharma is a resident of Kotkhai. Suman Shahi Kotkhai, Kamal Acharya is a resident of West Delhi.
Apart from these, 6 people were identified yesterday as Vikas Dutta age 38 village Gunjdali PO and Tehsil Tikkar Shimla, Lokendra Kanwar age 39 village Karali Kotkhai, Sachin Chauhan age 31 village Kupvi Nala Kotkhai, Kapil Sawant age 38 village Jaltar Chalnair Kotkhai, Pramod Khimta age 40. Village Adarsh Nagar Deori Khaneti Kotkhai and Abhilash age31 were found as residents of village Sahdauli Kokunala, Shimla. On Tuesday, this number has increased by two more. Police have arrested two girls, 24 years old and 22 years old. Both the girls are said to be sisters.
DSP Siddharth Sharma said that police action against drugs is continuing. 11 people of Ranjan gang have been arrested. This gang was spread in the entire area of Kotkhai and used to supply illegal drugs. He fears that more may still join this gang. He said, the police investigation will continue until the gang is uprooted. Before this, Shahi Mahatma and Radhe gang have also been busted. In both these gangs, about 30 smugglers of Shahi Mahatma and more than half a dozen accused in Radhe gang were arrested. Shimla Police has busted the third big gang within a month. These three gangs had direct interstate connections
