Hamirpur
State Selection Commission Hamirpur has denotified the recruitment of 11 posts of JE Civil to be filled in the Electrical Wing of the Forest Department. This decision has been taken amid discussions about the closure of the electrical wing of the forest department. In such a situation, due to the paper leak issue, this recruitment examination, which has been under investigation for almost two years, will not be completed. 36 candidates had passed the written examination. The Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur, dissolved on May 26, 2022, had issued a notification to fill 1508 posts in various departments.
This also included 11 posts of post code 970. 8616 candidates had applied. Out of these, applications of 7177 candidates were found correct. 5524 candidates appeared in the written examination, while 1653 candidates were found absent from the examination. After this, the documents of the eligible candidates were also verified, but in December 2022, the paper leak issue came to light. The results of the pending recruitments are being declared in the newly formed commission, but the Cabinet Sub Committee has not given permission to declare the result of this postcode.
When the Forest Department corresponded to denotify this recruitment, the Commission sought permission from the government on this subject. After taking advice from the Law Department, the State Selection Commission has denotified the recruitment with the permission of the government. Vikram Mahajan, Secretary, State Selection Commission, Hamirpur, says that the Forest Department has withdrawn the recruitment. No decision has been taken on whether the examination fees of the candidates will be refunded or not.
