Recruitment for Himachal Pradesh will only be conducted in accordance with the previous regulations for appointment proposals, posted positions, and requisitions submitted until May 14, 2025. These employees will be referred to as job trainees, but they will still be subject to the previous regulations. After serving as job trainees for two years, they will not be required to take the regularization test. The Personnel Department provided fresh directions in this respect. Additionally, contract workers hired through February 20, 2025, will not be covered by the new hiring guidelines. The previous regulations will also be applied to their regularization.
The Himachal Pradesh government has instructed in the new announcement that all requisitions and appointments for Group-A, B, and C positions under Job Trainee Appointment must be made after May 14, 2025. Strict adherence to the recently implemented plan has been requested by the Secretary of Personnel. It was made clear in the letter sent out on Tuesday that any contract-based appointment proposals submitted before May 14 will continue to follow the previous guidelines for any open positions or outstanding requests with recruitment agencies. In compliance with the new regulations, departments have been instructed to update any appointments made after May 14.
Dr. Sikandar Kumar, a member of the Rajya Sabha and the general secretary of the state BJP, said that the state government’s Job Trainee Scheme directly interfered with the future of the state’s young. This plan is wholly deceptive and goes against what the administration has promised. Dr. Sikandar Kumar claimed that the Congress had pledged to provide 5 lakh young people with permanent government positions prior to the elections, but they had forgotten this pledge after taking office and the young people were now being hired as job trainees. Instead of providing the youngsters with long-term jobs, this program will make them trainees who must work for two years before retaking the exam.
In such a situation, the youth will remain a puppet in the hands of the government, and it is not even certain when they will get a permanent job. He said that the youth were already troubled by contractual recruitment and temporary appointments. Now the new scheme will make their future even more uncertain. MP Dr. Sikandar Kumar also reacted to the statement of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu in which he had said that the MPs of the state should raise the voice of the disaster-affected. On this, the MP clarified that all the MPs of Himachal are continuously reaching the disaster-affected areas, providing help, and also contributing from their MP funds. The issue of disaster-affected people is being raised effectively inside and outside the Parliament. It is also being placed before the Union Ministers.
